Frontline Absence Management

Frontline replaces Smart Find Express. Time off transactions from 7/1/2020 on are in Skyward.
 
ISD 709 is using a service from Frontline Education that greatly simplifies the process of recording and managing absences and finding and managing substitutes jobs in this district.  The Frontline Absence Management solution is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed via internet and phone. Please start entering your absences into Frontline Absence Management starting right away. We are Live and absences can be entered as of June 28, 2021. 
 
Web Access
You may have received a personal invitation email with the subject line: Duluth Independent School District 709 has invited you to Absence Management.  If you have an existing Frontline ID account click “Sign in with your Frontline ID.”  Otherwise, click “Create a Frontline ID.”  Enter a username, password, email address, and click “I accept the terms and conditions." Then click “Create Frontline ID” and you are in!  
To access the Frontline website, go to https://app.frontlineeducation.com.  
  • Employees: can enter absences, check your absence schedule, update personal information, and upload your lesson plans for substitutes to view online.  
  • Substitutes: can search for and accept available jobs, change personal settings, update your calendar, and personalize available call times.  
Mobile App Access
After you have created your Frontline ID, you can download the Frontline Education mobile app. Enter your Frontline ID credentials to sign in.

Once you have logged in with your Frontline ID Account username and password, the resources below will help guide you to navigate the app and accept jobs:
 
Dial-In Access
You can call Frontline toll-free at 1-800-942-3767.  Simply follow the voice menu to enter and manage absences. We recommend that you call in to check the computer recording of your name and title.  To do this, press Option 5 and follow the prompts. The system will also make phone calls to substitutes to offer jobs. 
 
Your ID and PIN for dial-in access was in the Welcome to Frontline Education Absence Management email from humanresources@isd709.org. If you need this information sent to you again, please email to shaunna.wood@isd709.org. Please check your spam folder before asking for the email to be sent. 
 
Note: You are NOT required to create a Frontline ID for dial-in access (you automatically have dial-in access).  However, to access the website, you must create a Frontline ID via your personal invitation email.
  • *Employees - When entering an absence, please wait until you receive a confirmation number before you terminate the phone call.  Your transaction is not complete until you receive a confirmation number.
  • *Substitutes - If you accept a job, you will be issued a confirmation number. Please remember that your transaction is not complete until Frontline supplies you with a confirmation number.
